A small group of children from Gandhi class decided that they wanted to make a puppet show based upon the Highwayman, a poem by Albert Noyes, that they had recently been studying in Literacy.
They completed all of the props and scenery themselves, during the class art sessions. The debut performance took place on the 29th May.
The production was deemed to be a real success with great sound effects and wonderful narration from Mia. “This is a truly fantastic initiative,” reported class teacher, Cate Jago, “I’d like to congratulate the group involved, Liam, Edward, Tyjeon, Casey, Mia and Asa.”
